What should Roy Moore do? (According to the Bible)

The Bible has something to say about Roy Moore's situation. It's right there in Exodus 22, just before the part about killing witches.
And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.

If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. Exodus 22:16-17

The teenage girls that Roy Moore molested were clearly unmarried --"unbetrothed maids" in the King James Bible. The only real question is whether or not he "lied" with them.

If he didn't, then there is no problem, biblically speaking. He could do whatever he wanted to do with and to them, as long as he didn't "lie" with them.

If he did "lie" with them, then Mr. Moore has two options: marry them, if their fathers will give them to him; or pay the fathers the going rate for virgins. (Since this isn't specified in the Bible, I suggest that Mr. Moore pay the standard biblical value for females between 5 and 20 years old: 10 shekels of silver, which comes to $62.37 per virgin in today's currency.)

In his interview with Sean Hannity, Moore said he doesn't "remember ever dating any girl without the permission of her mother." But that is totally irrelevant from a biblical perspective. In the Bible, mother's don't matter. Neither do their daughters. Only the fathers count. And that's who Roy Moore should be dealing with.

He can make everything right by paying each of the fathers just $62.37 per virgin.

It's the biblically correct thing to do.

According to the Bible, Moore should pay them, but then that would be admitting guilt. Just leave the country & never return. Maybe he could go to Arabia where they know how to treat women...I just came across this book of yours. I have been reading/studying the Bible for more 65 years. I am still learning from the Bible & unlearning (re-evaluating) I may blog or answer on other topics you have shared.

I really pity you. Your whole page is about bible verses under which you post your own commentary and thoughts. You're ignoring the historical context and the situation in order to make God's judgement look unjust and cruel, while in reality all of God's decisions are just and moral.

@Mann

So you consider the deaths of 70,000 Israelites to punish David to be just and moral?

@Mama Frog:

Matthew 5:22 - But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment..... but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Wow, I was reading about Achan, Korah, Dathan, and Abiram when I stumbled upon this.
Matt 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

We don't know what Roy Moore did or did not do 30 plus years ago. We do know he has one wife and family for the last 32 years. God's grace and mercy abounds.

Dear Hannah, either you are very young or have never had a traumatic episode by a man (or a woman). You should not judge his accusers either. Roy Moore is also considered a racist & has been removed from office for his acts toward Blacks if I am not mistaken. I interpret the Bible for myself, certainly do not call it God's Word but moreso, Her and/or His inspiration. Not my only source for guidance, either.
